The ICSH044A ICSTATION Blackberry Trackball Breakout Board features four spindles equipped with tiny circular magnets at the end, each paired with an SMD hall effect sensor. These sensors enable precise measurement of up, down, left, and right movements of the trackball.

Additionally, an SMD momentary switch is positioned under the trackball, providing a select switch functionality. Pressing the switch pulls the BTN line low. The breakout board also includes four LEDs—red, blue, green, and white—that can be powered to illuminate the clear trackball in various colors.

All functionalities are accessible via a 0.1″ pitch header. To power the Hall sensors, regulated 2.5-5.25VDC power must be provided. The trackball is securely attached using strong CA glue, and the board comes fully assembled with all components populated.

The hall-effect sensors and trackball combination exhibit impressive sensitivity. Even a slight roll of the trackball generates multiple high/low transitions on the four axis pins, easily detectable by any microcontroller. This feature effectively allows for the integration of mouse-like functionality into your project. A 360° rotation of the trackball, along with a single axis movement, produces approximately 9 high/low transitions.

Note: This Product is available in two different variants (ICSH044A and HW-204) with the same working we will ship it randomly.
