These rods are manufactured using continuous carbon fibers within a resin matrix, which can be either vinyl-ester or epoxy.

The pultrusion process, employed in their production, involves pulling continuous strands of carbon fiber through resin and a former, with the resin curing in a seamless, single-step process.
