This is the 16-Channel 12-bit PWM/Servo Driver with an I2C interface, featuring the PCA9685. Whether you’re envisioning a dynamic hexapod walker, an intricate piece of art with numerous moving parts, or aiming to control multiple LEDs with precision PWM output, this PWM and Servo driver breakout is the solution to your limited microcontroller PWM outputs.
Key Features:
– Programmable fuzzy group (dim) / Flashing LED brightness independently, mixed with 1MHz Fast-mode Plus.
– Compatible with high drive capability, offering 30mA on SDA I2C bus interface for driving highly capacitive buses.
– Each LED output is programmable from fully closed (default) to 4096 (12), achieving maximum brightness with linear programmable brightness.
– Software programmable open-drain LED output selection with 16 push-pull outputs (5V, 25mA sink, capable of absorbing and providing a 10mA current draw), and no input function.
– Programmable output state can simultaneously update all outputs or update output byte-by-byte.
– Effective low output enable input pin allows for programming the LED output to 0, 1, or tri-state (high impedance power-on default).
Additional Features:
– 6 hardware address pins permit connecting up to 62 PCA9685 I2C devices on the bus.
– LED output frequency (all LED) typically ranges from 40Hz to 1000Hz.
– 4 software programmable I2C bus addresses facilitate flexible addressing options, enabling the device to be set to any combination for simultaneous addressing.
– The device allows enabling and disabling of software I2C bus addresses.
