Behold the impressive 2.8-inch TFT display – a sizable, bright, and vibrant screen with a diagonal measurement of 2.8 inches and a resolution of 240×320 pixels, providing individual RGB pixel control. This far surpasses the resolution of a conventional black and white 128×64 display.
As an added bonus, this display comes equipped with a resistive touchscreen, enabling seamless detection of finger presses across the entire screen. The display incorporates a built-in controller featuring RAM buffering, minimizing the workload on the microcontroller.
Operating in two versatile modes – 8-bit and SPI – the 8-bit mode necessitates 8 digital data lines and 4 or 5 digital control lines (12 lines in total), while SPI mode requires only 5 pins (SPI data in, data out, clock, select, and d/c), albeit at a slightly slower speed. Additionally, 4 pins are allocated for the touchscreen (2 digital, 2 analogs).
Encased in a user-friendly breakout board, this 2.8-inch SPI Touch Screen Module features SPI connections on one end and 8-bit on the other. Both modes are 3-5V compliant, incorporating high-speed level shifters for compatibility with various microcontrollers. For those opting for SPI mode, the onboard MicroSD card socket opens up the possibility of displaying images with ease.
