The 20A Range Current Sensor Module ACS712 features a precise, low-offset, linear Hall circuit with a copper conduction path situated near the surface of the die. The current flowing through this copper path generates a magnetic field, which the Hall IC converts into a proportional voltage.

Current sensing and control are essential for numerous applications, including over-current protection circuits, battery chargers, switching mode power supplies, digital watt meters, and programmable current sources.

This ACS721 current module, based on the ACS712 sensor, can accurately detect both AC and DC current. It is capable of measuring currents up to 20A. The resulting current signal can be read through the analog I/O port of an Arduino, making it easy to integrate into various projects.
