The 24V-0V-24V 1Amp Step-Down Transformer is designed for versatile chassis mounting applications. With a primary winding rated at 230V and a non-center tapped secondary winding, this transformer efficiently steps down AC voltage from 230V to 24V. Equipped with flying-colored insulated connecting leads, each approximately 100 mm long, the transformer facilitates easy integration.

The construction of the transformer involves a solid core and winding. It operates as a static electrical device, transferring energy through inductive coupling between its winding circuits. As a varying current flows through the primary winding, it generates a fluctuating magnetic flux in the transformer’s core, inducing a corresponding electromotive force (E.M.F) or voltage in the secondary winding. The transformer employs high permeability silicon steel cores, which significantly reduce magnetizing current and channel the flux through a path that tightly couples the winding.
