Tailored for heavy-duty CNC machines, NEMA 23 stepper motors outshine NEMA17 counterparts with inherent operational advantages, offering substantial torque at high speeds. The NEMA 23 7.2 kg-cm Dual Shaft Hybrid Stepper Motor emerges as a powerhouse for larger machines requiring additional torque, delivering an impressive 7.2 kg-cm at 1A current per phase.

Renowned for moving in precisely repeatable steps, these stepper motors are the preferred choice for machines demanding precise position control, fitting seamlessly into applications like CNC milling and CNC routers that necessitate more torque than provided by NEMA17 Stepper Motors.

The NEMA 23 7.2 kg-cm Dual Shaft Hybrid Stepper Motor showcases excellent responsiveness to starting, stopping, and reversing pulses from the stepper motor driver. Featuring dual shafts at the front and rear, this motor offers enhanced flexibility, allowing it to drive different equipment on either side.

This dual shaft arrangement opens possibilities, enabling the connection of encoders, various sensors, or a drive wheel to the rear shaft. The motor’s shaft is meticulously machined for a secure grip with pulleys, drive gears, etc., minimizing the risk of stall or slip during operation.

Operating as a brushless DC motor, its lifespan hinges on the durability of the bearings. Achieving position control through a simple Open Loop control mechanism, this motor eliminates the need for complex electronic control circuitry.

Note :

  1. The NEMA 23 7.2 kg-cm Dual Shaft Hybrid Stepper Motor dimensions and weight may have  ±2% error.
  2. Resonances can occur because of improper installment.
  3.  Not easy to operate at extremely high speeds.
  4. 6 wire Stepper motors can also be used as 4 wire stepper motor, you can refer the attached video for your reference.

Features:

  1. Comparably more powerful than NEMA17 motors.
  2. Input pulse decides the rotation angle of the motor.
  3. High accuracy of around 3 to 5% a step.
  4. Provides good starting, stopping and reversing.
  5. Control of this motor is less costly because of exclusion of complex control circuitry.
  6. The speed is proportional to the frequency of the input pulses.
