It offers 16-bit precision at a sampling rate of 860 samples per second over the I2C interface. This versatile chip can be configured to accommodate either four single-ended input channels or two differential channels.
One notable feature of the ADS1115 is its programmable gain amplifier, which can amplify smaller single-ended or differential signals by up to x16, allowing them to utilize the full measurement range. Operating within a voltage range of 2V to 5V, this ADC can handle a wide range of signals and is incredibly user-friendly.
To facilitate easy integration, the ADS1115 chip is mounted on a breakout board with ferrites to minimize noise on the AVDD and AGND lines.
