The fully assembled Bowden V6 with a 30cm length fan cable is tailored for compatibility with 1.75mm filament and features a 0.2mm nozzle. Renowned for its consistent high-temperature performance suitable for high-temp printing, this assembly also offers enhanced functionality tailored for printing soft and flexible filaments. Included in this kit are essential components such as the old thermistor, heater block, sleeving, and a cooling fan complete with its holder.

The V6 HotEnd offers versatility in printing various materials, ranging from soft and flexible to sturdy and strong. This capability is facilitated by the PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) liner tube within the hotend, which can be extended into the extruder to provide the necessary confinement and constraint for high-quality prints with flexible filaments. This innovative technology expands the possibilities for 3D printing applications.

With its high-temperature performance, the V6 enables printing with materials like Polycarbonate and Nylon while mitigating common issues such as HotEnd meltdown failures associated with PTFE designs. Despite featuring a PTFE liner, the V6 ensures the liner remains unaffected by high temperatures, thus eliminating the risk of damage due to overheating. The V6 HotEnd boasts a streamlined design, with an overall length reduced to only 62mm, and significant reductions in the X/Y dimensions achieved through the utilization of a new injection-molded fan duct.

If you’re eager to commence printing, you’re in luck. The V6 HotEnd from MatterHackers eliminates the need for adhesives, Kapton tape, or soldering to get started. Installation is simplified, requiring only a screw to secure the hotend in place, while high-temp glass sleeving insulates the thermistor legs. This streamlined process contrasts with earlier methods involving various adhesives. Assembly involves screwing the hotend parts together, and the fan duct naturally clips in place, offering flexibility to accommodate different setup preferences.
