The Arduino Portenta Hat Carrier is a reliable and robust platform that transforms the Portenta X8 into an industrial single-board computer compatible with Raspberry Pi® Hats and cameras. It is designed for various industrial applications, including building automation and machine monitoring.

Compatible with the Portenta H7 and Portenta C33 as well, the Portenta Hat Carrier offers easy access to numerous peripherals such as CAN, Ethernet, microSD, and USB, thereby enhancing any Portenta application. Ideal for prototyping and scaling up, it expands the features of a typical Raspberry Pi® Model B.

The carrier facilitates quick debugging with dedicated JTAG pins and manages heat effectively under intense workloads with a PWM fan connector. It allows control of actuators or reading of analog sensors through the additional 16x analog I/Os. Moreover, it supports industrial machine vision solutions via the onboard camera connector, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of projects.
