The LSS05 Auto-Calibrating Line Sensor is incredibly simple to use. includes five sets of infrared transmitters and receivers. It can quickly cover and identify lines with a width of 1 to 3 cm and in either bright or dark color. Once the push button on the side is pressed once the device has been powered on, it begins “scanning” the area beneath it to determine the threshold between light and dark. It only takes four or five seconds.
After calibration, these parameters are kept in non-volatile internal memory, thus even after power recycling (turning off and back on), the device will still “recognize” the line. Reading the line location is as easy as reading a digital signal because the outputs are digital (0V or 5V) and show whether a line has been detected or not.

Features:
- 5V power, reserve polarity protected
- 5 digital outputs representing the logic of 5 IR sensor, represented with indicator each.
- Calibration button for easy of calibrating sensor:
- 1st Step: press to start calibration
- 2nd Step: press to toggle logic into Dark On mode, to sense dark line
- 3rd Step: press to toggle logic into Bright On mode, to sense bright line
