The all-new BBC Micro:Bit V2.21 Go Kit retains all the beloved features of its predecessor, ensuring compatibility with existing lessons and code.

Designed specifically for kids and beginners, the micro:bit is a pocket-sized computer that can be coded, customized, and controlled to bring digital ideas, games, and apps to life. It provides an approachable introduction to programming and making: switch it on, program it to do something fun, and wear it or customize it to develop new ideas.

We recommend trying the SmartElex Micro:Bit L298n Driver, which integrates an L298n motor driving chip to drive two motors with a peak DC single-channel current of 2A.

The microcontroller on the micro:bit V2 has been upgraded to the nRF52833, doubling the memory size to 512KB Flash and increasing the RAM size eightfold to 128KB. These upgrades enable Bluetooth 5.1 and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).

Additionally, the co-microcontroller that handles the USB connection has been upgraded from the KL26Z with 16KB RAM to the KL27Z with 32KB RAM. The micro:bit V2 still features an accelerometer, compass, Bluetooth Smart antenna, micro USB, and two-pin JST connector for various power options.
