Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor

The Capacitive soil moisture sensor utilizes capacitive sensing to measure soil moisture levels, distinguishing itself from other sensors on the market that rely on resistive sensing. Crafted from corrosion-resistant materials, it boasts an exceptional service life. Simply insert it into the soil surrounding your plants to access real-time soil moisture data, impressing friends and ensuring optimal plant care.

Equipped with an onboard voltage regulator, this module operates within a voltage range of 3.3 ~ 5.5V, making it suitable for low-voltage MCUs, including those operating at both 3.3V and 5V. However, for compatibility with a Raspberry Pi, an ADC converter is required.

Furthermore, the sensor features compatibility with our 3-pin “Gravity” interface, allowing seamless connection to the Gravity I/O expansion shield for added functionality and convenience.
