The CJMCU-TEMT6000 Ambient Light Sensor module utilizes a specialized ambient light detector (TEMT6000) with a spectral response that closely mimics the human eye. This feature allows the sensor to accurately detect light intensity and convert it into an analog voltage signal that can be read by an Arduino controller. You can set a voltage threshold to trigger other actions in your Arduino projects.

The CJMCU-TEMT6000 is a silicon NPN epitaxial planar phototransistor housed in a miniature transparent 1206 package for surface mounting. It is highly sensitive to visible light, with peak sensitivity at 570 nm, closely aligning with human visual perception. While it is highly responsive to ambient light, it effectively inhibits infrared (IR) light, providing a spectral response similar to the human eye.

Features:

  • Spectral Response: Emulates human eye sensitivity, with peak sensitivity at 570 nm.
  • Analog Voltage Output: Reflects light density, allowing easy interfacing with Arduino.
  • IR Inhibition: Minimizes IR sensitivity to provide accurate visible light measurements.
  • Compact Size: Comes in a miniature 1206 surface-mount package.

This sensor is ideal for projects that need to mimic the human eye’s response to light, providing accurate and reliable ambient light measurements.
