The SmartDriveDuo10 is an intelligent brush motor driver designed to support dual channels with a continuous current capacity of 10A for each channel. Building a combat or sumo robot becomes a straightforward task: select a motor and wheel, choose a suitable battery, connect it to the SmartDriveDuo10, and pick an RC controller—your robot is ready! Drawing upon insights gathered from previous models such as MD10C, MDD10A, MD30C, MDS40A, and MDS160A, we are excited to introduce this smart motor driver, eager to witness the innovative applications users can create.

The SmartDriveDuo10 inherits the specifications of MDD10A, capable of driving two brush motors at 10A each, with additional smart features inspired by MDS40A. It accommodates RC signals for mix-mode drive, analog voltage from a potentiometer, PWM from a microcontroller, and even control via UART command. Operating modes are configured through the DIP switch on the MDDS10, with commonly used configurations conveniently printed on the back of the PCB. MOSFETs operate at 16KHz for a quiet operation.

Equipped with an onboard temperature sensor, this smart driver dynamically limits the output current in stages to prevent overheating and potential damage. The peak current reaches 50A for 5 seconds before the automatic current limitation kicks in.

To enhance RC receiver compatibility, a 2×3 header pin is included, simplifying the wiring process with just 2 RC extension cables in a quick 2-minute setup.

With the MDDS10, users can now series up two SLA batteries to power their motors, supporting up to 35V DC input. A single power input suffices to operate both the motor and driver. It accommodates 3-cell and 6-cell LiPo batteries within the operating voltage range, and it features a battery low voltage warning for added convenience. The SmartDriveDuo10 is a versatile and feature-rich motor driver, offering users flexibility and ease of use in various robotic applications.

Note: The driver has NO polarity protection, please double check the polarity of connection before power On.
