For identifying the common port of a 4-wire motor, follow these steps:
1. Utilize a meter set to resistance x 1 mode to measure the four terminals.
2. Identify the terminal with the smallest and equal resistance when paired with the other three terminals; this terminal serves as the common (COM) terminal.
3. The driver board automatically recognizes 3-wire or 4-wire brushless motors, and in the case of a 4-wire motor, the COM line can be disconnected for added flexibility.
