The Flame Sensor Module is capable of detecting flames within the 760 – 1100 nanometer wavelength range, with the ability to sense small flames such as those from a lighter at a distance of approximately 0.8 meters. With a detection angle of roughly 60 degrees, the sensor exhibits particular sensitivity to the flame spectrum.
Utilizing an on-board LM393 op-amp as a comparator, the sensitivity level of the sensor can be adjusted to suit various applications. Featuring both digital and analog outputs, sensitivity adjustment is facilitated by a blue potentiometer.
This module is designed for the detection of fire/flame sources or other light sources within the wavelength range of 760nm – 1100nm. It is built around the YG1006 sensor, a high-speed and highly sensitive NPN silicon phototransistor. The black epoxy construction of the sensor renders it sensitive to infrared radiation.
Ideal for integration into firefighting robots, the sensor serves as the “eyes” of the robot, enabling it to locate fire sources. Upon detecting a flame, the Signal LED illuminates, and the D0 pin switches to a LOW state.
The module provides two outputs: Analog, delivering a real-time voltage output signal based on thermal resistance, and digital, allowing temperature thresholds to be set via a potentiometer.
