The LC100A 2.5” LCD Digital High Precision Inductance/Capacitance (L/C) Meter is a versatile instrument capable of measuring capacitance within the range of 1pF-100mF and inductance from 1uH to 100H. Utilizing the principle of LC resonance, this meter employs high-speed microcontroller precision measurement calculations. It excels at measuring inductance below 1uH and small capacitances under 1pF.
Beyond its conventional use for measuring capacitor and inductor parts, the LC100-A LC meter serves as a valuable tool for assessing the inductance of mini-quad motor windings, aiding in the detection of shorted turns in a motor.
One standout feature of the LC100A is its suitability for microwave production and the measurement of switching power supply transformers and filter inductors. It outperforms other finished inductor and capacitance meters, such as the 6243 series, especially when dealing with small-value tests.
The meter ensures accuracy and flexibility through its degree and minimum resolution settings, coupled with convenient online calibration that maintains accuracy over time. Notably, the instrument foregoes potentiometer adjustments and stores calibration parameters in the microcontroller’s FLASH, ensuring data retention even after power loss.
For enhanced workbench usability, the LC100-A operates on a 5V power supply via the USB connector or the coaxial DC socket. To mitigate the risk of accidental overvoltage through the DC input socket, a 5V regulator has been incorporated, allowing power from 7 volts to the upper limit of the regulator (typically 35 volts). This modification enhances the meter’s safety and adaptability in various power supply scenarios.
