The N20 12V 60RPM Micro Metal Gear Motor with Encoder is designed to operate optimally at 12V. However, these motors are versatile and can comfortably function within a broader voltage range of 3 – 12V. Rotation can initiate at voltages as low as 0.5V, providing flexibility in usage.
While the motor can handle lower voltages, practicality diminishes, and higher voltages may negatively impact motor lifespan. The micro metal gear motors come in various gear ratios, ranging from 5:1 up to 1000:1. With the exception of the 1000:1 gear ratio versions, all micro metal gear motors share the same physical dimensions. This uniformity allows for easy interchangeability, enabling a seamless switch between different versions based on evolving design requirements.
