The N20 12V 60RPM Micro Metal Gear Motor With Encoder is designed to operate at 12 V, but it exhibits flexibility to function within a broader voltage range. While the nominal voltage is 12 V, these motors can reliably run at voltages both above and below this level, spanning from 3 V to 12 V. Rotation can initiate at remarkably low voltages, starting from as little as 0.5 V.
Although lower voltages may not be practical, it’s important to note that higher voltages may adversely impact the motor’s lifespan. The micro metal gear motors come in various gear ratios, ranging from 5:1 up to 1000:1. With the exception of the 1000:1 gear ratio versions, all micro metal gear motors share identical physical dimensions. This uniformity allows for easy interchangeability between different versions, facilitating adaptability in design as per changing requirements.
