The power-management IC on the Raspberry Pi 5 integrates a real-time clock and charging circuitry for a button cell, allowing the clock to remain powered even when the main power is disconnected.

Raspberry Pi provides a Panasonic ML-2020 Lithium Manganese Dioxide battery, equipped with a two-pin plug that connects seamlessly to the battery connector on the Raspberry Pi 5 PCB. It also includes a double-sided adhesive pad, enabling you to securely attach the battery inside a case or another convenient location.
