The OpenMV Cam M7 Smart Vision Camera is a compact, low-power microcontroller board designed for implementing machine vision applications in the real world. It is programmed using high-level Python scripts via the MicroPython Operating System, making it easier to handle complex machine vision algorithm outputs and high-level data structures compared to C/C++.
This approach provides complete control over the OpenMV Cam and its I/O pins in Python. Users can easily trigger picture and video capture based on external events or run machine vision algorithms to control I/O pins.

μSD Card Socket: Capable of 100Mbs reads/writes for recording video and managing machine vision assets.
SPI Bus: Can run up to 54Mbs, allowing easy image data streaming to an LCD Shield, WiFi Shield, or another microcontroller.
Additional Interfaces: I2C Bus, CAN Bus, and an Asynchronous Serial Bus (TX/RX) for interfacing with other microcontrollers and sensors.
Analog/Digital Conversion: 12-bit ADC and 12-bit DAC.
Servo Control: Three I/O pins for servo control.
Interrupts and PWM: Available on all 10 I/O pins.
LEDs: An RGB LED and two high-power 850nm IR LEDs.
Image Sensor:
OV7725 sensor capable of capturing 640×480 8-bit grayscale images or 640×480 16-bit RGB565 images.
Frame rates: 60 FPS for resolutions above 320×240 and 120 FPS for resolutions below.
Simple algorithms typically run at above 30 FPS.
Comes with a 2.8mm lens on a standard M12 lens mount, with the option to easily attach specialized lenses.
