Original Arduino Uno Rev3 SMD A000073

The Arduino Uno Rev3 SMD is an ATmega328-based microcontroller board that offers various features. It includes 14 digital input/output pins, 6 of which can also function as PWM outputs. Additionally, it has 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz ceramic resonator (CSTCE16M0V53-R0), a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. This board is equipped with everything necessary to support the microcontroller. To get started, simply connect it to a computer using a USB cable or power it with an AC-to-DC adapter or battery.

Unlike previous boards, the Uno does not utilize the FTDI USB-to-serial driver chip. The R3 version introduces some additional features. It replaces the 8U2 USB-to-Serial converter with the ATmega16U2. The pinout has also been updated to include SDA and SCL pins for TWI communication, positioned near the AREF pin. Two other new pins are located near the RESET pin. The first one, called IOREF, allows the shields to adjust to the voltage provided by the board. The second pin is currently not connected and is reserved for future purposes.

Furthermore, the RESET circuit of the Uno has been strengthened for improved functionality.
