Introducing the PL2303 TA Download Cable USB to TTL RS232 Module USB to Serial, a convenient solution for connecting to microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi, WiFi routers, and more via the serial console port. This cable simplifies the process with its integrated USB to Serial conversion chip housed within the large USB plug. At the end of its 1-meter cable, you’ll find four wires: red for power, black for ground, white for RX into the USB port, and green for TX out of the USB port.

The power pin supplies a direct 5V @ 500mA from the USB port, while the RX/TX pins operate at 3.3V levels, suitable for interfacing with common 3.3V logic level chipsets.

With separate pin plugs, this cable is particularly useful for powering and connecting to the debug/login console on devices like the Raspberry Pi or BeagleBone Black. It’s also handy for tasks such as hacking WiFi routers to install alternate OSs or interfacing with nearly any other 3.3V logic serial port.
