The Pro Micro 5V 16M Mini is a versatile development board designed for Arduino enthusiasts. With features like a 4-channel 10-bit ADC, 5 PWM pins, 12 DIO, and a hardware serial connection (Rx and Tx), it provides a familiar environment running at 16MHz and 5V.
Equipped with a voltage regulator, the board can handle up to 12V DC. Based on the ATmega32U4 microcontroller, it boasts 20 digital input/output pins (7 PWM, 12 analog), a 16MHz crystal oscillator, micro USB connection, ICSP header, and a reset button. The Pro Micro simplifies the development process—just connect it to a computer with a micro-USB cable.
Sharing similarities with the Arduino Leonardo, the ATmega32U4 enables built-in USB communication, eliminating the need for an extra processor. This feature allows the Pro Micro to emulate a mouse and keyboard, in addition to a virtual (CDC) serial/COM port.
For a stable power supply, connect to the “RAW” instead of the VCC pin. The board includes a PTC fuse and diode protection in the power circuit, addressing RX and LED TX circuit corrections.
