Solid pultruded carbon fiber rods, measuring 3mm in diameter and 1000mm in length, boast exceptional strength and stiffness. This is attributed to their composition, with 95% unidirectional carbon fiber running longitudinally. The rods are constructed using continuous carbon fibers within a resin matrix, which can be either vinyl-ester or epoxy.

These carbon fiber solid rods find versatile applications, prominently in aerospace and motor racing. However, their widespread use extends to recreational sports equipment such as kites and radio-controlled models.

Pultrusion, the manufacturing process employed, involves pulling continuous strands of carbon fiber through resin and a former, with the resin curing simultaneously. This seamless process results in the creation of continuous lengths of fiber-reinforced sections.
