Specifically designed for radio-controlled vehicles, the Sabertooth Dual 12A 6V-24V R/C Regenerative Motor Driver serves as a replacement for Dimension Engineering’s Sabertooth 2X10 R/C. Out of the box, it effortlessly supplies two DC brushed motors with a capacity of up to 12A each, with peak currents reaching 25A for short durations. Robust overcurrent and thermal protection mechanisms ensure the driver’s resilience against accidental stalls or connections with excessively powerful motors.

The Sabertooth enables precise control of two motors using analog voltage, radio control, serial, and packetized serial communication. Its versatility allows the creation of diverse robots with increasing complexity over time. Operating in independent and speed+direction modes, the Sabertooth is particularly well-suited for differential drive (tank-style) robots.

Setting the operating mode is simplified with onboard DIP switches, eliminating the need for jumpers and enhancing user convenience. Featuring screw terminal connectors further streamlines the robot-building process, eliminating the need for soldering.
