The Sabertooth Dual 60A Motor Driver stands out as one of the most versatile, efficient, and user-friendly dual motor drivers in the current market. Tailored for high-powered robots, it can handle up to 120lbs in combat scenarios or up to 1000lbs for general-purpose robotics.

Straight out of the box, the Sabertooth can effortlessly supply two DC brushed motors with a robust 60A each. For brief intervals, it can achieve peak currents of 120A per channel. With built-in overcurrent and thermal protection, concerns about accidental stalls or connecting overly powerful motors are alleviated.

The Sabertooth offers diverse control options, allowing you to manage two motors using analog voltage, radio control, serial, and packetized serial communication. Its flexibility enables the creation of various robots with increasing complexity over time. Operating in independent and speed+direction modes, the Sabertooth is an ideal choice for differential drive (tank-style) robots and more.

Setting the operating mode is a breeze with onboard DIP switches, eliminating the need for jumpers that can be easily misplaced. The inclusion of screw terminal connectors facilitates robot assembly without the necessity of soldering.

Setting a benchmark as the first synchronous regenerative motor driver in its category, the Sabertooth adopts a regenerative topology, ensuring your batteries get recharged when the robot slows down or reverses. This feature also enables rapid stops and reverses, giving your robot a nimble and agile advantage.

Equipped with a built-in 5V 1A Switch-mode BEC (Battery Eliminator Circuit), the Sabertooth can power your receiver, microcontroller, and accommodate 3-4 standard analog servos. The lithium cutoff mode ensures safe operation with lithium-ion and lithium-polymer battery packs, offering compatibility with high-energy-density batteries. The transistors operate at ultrasonic speeds (24kHz), resulting in silent operation.

It’s essential to note that the Sabertooth 2X60 employs 0.8 milliohm MOSFETs in its bridge. For optimal performance, it is advised to avoid using cheap AC adapters and instead opt for a battery or, at the very least, parallel a battery with a DC supply.
