SCT-013-030 Non-invasive AC Current Sensor Clamp Sensor 30A

This is the SCT-013-030 Non-invasive AC Current Sensor Clamp, designed to measure AC current up to 30 amps. The SCT-013-000 model is a similar non-invasive AC current sensor that can measure up to 100 amps.

The SCT-013-030 sensor clamps around the supply line, allowing it to measure loads up to 30 amps and enabling you to calculate the current passing through. This makes it ideal for creating your own energy monitor or building an over-current protection device for an AC load. By simply clipping it around the current source, it generates a small AC voltage proportional to the current. The sensor’s cable ends in a standard 3.5mm jack, similar to a headphone jack.

Use this sensor to build an energy monitor to track your power usage or to construct an over-current protection device for an AC load.
