The SmartElex 30D Smart Motor Driver, powered by Raspberry Pi, is a highly capable Dual Channel motor driver designed to provide continuous current of 30 amps with peak currents reaching up to 85 amps (for 2 seconds) per channel. This versatile motor driver can be controlled through various input methods including radio control, analog, TTL serial, and PWM. It features a range of operating modes, including mixed and independent modes in radio control, analog, and PWM mode.

The SmartElex 30D allows for seamless transitions between operating modes, enabling switches between radio controls and PWM mode, or any of the four modes through a 4-position DPDT mode switch. The MOSFETs are intelligently switched at 16 KHz, ensuring a quiet operation without any annoying whining sounds.

Equipped with a microcontroller unit, this smart motor driver incorporates intelligent features such as multiple input modes, current limit management, and thermal protection. In the event that the board’s temperature reaches 80 degrees Celsius, the motor speed is automatically reduced by half, returning to normal once the temperature drops below 70 degrees Celsius. The motor driver is designed to shut down at 100 degrees Celsius, safeguarding against overheating.

The integration of Raspberry Pi power adds a layer of versatility and compatibility to the SmartElex 30D, making it an ideal choice for a variety of applications requiring precise motor control and advanced smart features.
