This is a Soil Moisture Meter, Soil Humidity Sensor, Water Sensor, and Soil Hygrometer designed for Arduino. With this module, you can monitor the moisture levels in your soil to determine when your plants need watering. Ideal for use in pots, gardens, or yards, the sensor’s two probes act as variable resistors to gauge soil moisture.

The sensor works by measuring the volumetric content of water in the soil. The two probes allow current to pass through the soil, and the resulting resistance is used to determine the moisture level. Wet soil conducts electricity well, resulting in lower resistance and higher moisture readings. Conversely, dry soil conducts poorly, resulting in higher resistance and lower moisture readings.

This sensor can be integrated into a home automated watering system, connected to IoT devices, or used standalone to indicate when plants need watering. The setup includes a sensor and a PCB, enabling you to start monitoring soil moisture quickly and easily.

Wiring Connection:
