The W5500 chip serves as a Hardwired TCP/IP embedded Ethernet controller, streamlining Internet connectivity for embedded systems. With W5500, users can easily incorporate Internet connectivity into their applications using a single chip, which includes a TCP/IP stack, 10/100 Ethernet MAC, and PHY.

The SPI to Ethernet Hardware TCP/IP W5500 Ethernet Network Module is built around the Ethernet WIZNET’s innovative W5500 chip. This module integrates the entire hardware TCP/IP protocol stack, eliminating the need for code implementation of the TCP/IP protocol stack. It supports transmission rates of 10/100MBPS, along with sleep mode and wake on LAN features, and is equipped with an integrated 32K TX/RX cache.

Featuring 8 independent ports capable of simultaneous operation, the SPI to Ethernet Hardware TCP/IP W5500 Ethernet Network Module supports both 3.3V and 5V power supplies, making it adaptable to various SCM system requirements. The communication between the module and the MCU system is facilitated via the SPI protocol. It supports SPI clock frequencies of up to 80M and offers client, server, and UDP routines compatible with STM32 and 51 SCM systems.
