The X-NUCLEO-6283A1 is a board that can be added to STM32 Nucleo development boards. It comes with everything needed to learn, evaluate, and develop applications using the VD6283, a small colour sensor with advanced light flicker frequency extraction. The VD6283 is the tiniest 6-channel ambient light sensor, measuring 1.83 x 1.0 x 0.55 mm. It accurately measures light using separate ADC and readout circuitry for each colour channel (Red, Green, Blue, IR, Clear, and Visible). The VD6283 uses hybrid colour filters with precise responses to calculate the correlated colour temperature (CCT) and Lux information. This sensor can be used to manage display brightness or correct scene lighting. Moreover, it can extract light flickering frequencies ranging from 100 Hz to 2 kHz, including LED square signals. The X-NUCLEO-6283A1 expansion board is compatible with the STM32 Nucleo-64 board family and has the same connector layout as the Arduino UNO R3.
