The TPS5430DDAR serves as a high-output-current PWM converter, merging a low-resistance, high-side N-channel MOSFET on its substrate. Its features include a high-performance voltage error amplifier ensuring precise voltage regulation even during transient conditions. Additionally, it incorporates an Undervoltage lockout circuit delaying start-up until the input voltage hits 5.5 V, an internally set slow-start circuit limiting inrush currents, and a voltage feedforward circuit enhancing transient response.

Through the ENA pin, the shutdown supply current typically diminishes to 18 μA. It also offers an active-high enable, overcurrent limiting, over-voltage protection, and thermal shutdown. Simplifying design and reducing external component count, the TPS543x feedback loop comes internally compensated.

Designed to function on power rails up to 23 V, the TPS5431 can regulate various power sources, including a 24 V bus. Packaged in an 8-pin SOIC PowerPAD package for enhanced thermal performance, the TPS543x device ensures ease of use. Additionally, Texas Instruments provides evaluation modules and designer software tools facilitating the swift development of high-performance power supplies, meeting demanding equipment development timelines.
