26-pin headers featuring GPIO, ADC, VP/VN, DAC, touch, SPI, I2C, UART, 2דLoRa” pin, and power signals (5V/3.3V/GND) are available on the TTGO T-Beam. Additionally, the board has two buttons: one for power and the other linked to the ESP32’s GPIO39 pin.

Pin Description:

Using a “3D antenna” on the PCB, the board’s dual-core ESP32 processor—which has 4MB of SPI flash—provides both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE functionality. There are three different versions of the board with LoRa functionality; depending on the location, it operates at 433MHz, 868MHz, or 915MHz and includes a SMA antenna. While the integrated u-Blox NEO-6M GPS module with a ceramic antenna provides location tracking.

The Arduino programming environment can be used to program the board, and the provided sample code demonstrates how to send and receive data over LoRa.A battery holder for an 18650 Li-Ion cell can be found by flipping the board over; although it resembles a “ordinary” AA battery in several ways, an 18650 is very different from one. Thus, avoid making the error of substituting in the more common AA battery to try and power the board. They’re not quite the same size, but I’ve seen people attempt this substitution nonetheless.
