The USB to RS485 Converter Adapter module is compatible with WIN7, XP, Vista, Linux, and Mac OS, providing a straightforward RS485 interface through a Virtual Com Port on the user’s system.

With no command structures required, any data sent to the Virtual Comm Port is automatically converted to RS485 and vice versa. Additionally, the module is entirely self-powered via the USB bus.

Controlling or communicating with RS-485 devices from your PC has never been simpler. This plug-and-play device appears as a serial/com port and is easily accessible from applications or hyper-terminal.

The converter supports half-duplex RS-485 communication, with a baud rate range from 75 bps to 115200 bps, extendable up to a maximum of 6 Mbps. No external power supply is needed for operation.
