This is the Waveshare EM06-E LTE Cat-6 HAT for the Raspberry Pi, featuring GNSS and data rates of up to 300Mbps (downlink) and 50Mbps (uplink). It is suitable for use in regions including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Brazil. By connecting it to a PC, Raspberry Pi, or Jetson Nano host board, you can easily enable LTE-A high-speed networking, cloud platform communication, SMS, and global GNSS positioning functions.

When integrating an LTE or 3G cellular module, using two antennas ensures optimal signal reception and module performance. For LTE modules, dual antennas are essential to maximize signal quality and downlink data throughput. A multiband antenna, designed to operate across multiple frequency bands, incorporates parts that are active for different bands. In LTE, technologies such as spatial multiplexing, rank adaptation, and UE-specific beamforming are used: spatial multiplexing allows multiple data streams to be transmitted simultaneously over the multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) channel.
