Waveshare HRB8825 Stepper Motor HAT For Raspberry Pi

The HRB8825 Stepper Motor HAT for Raspberry Pi is designed to drive two stepper motors with up to 1/32 micro-stepping. The HR8825 is a dual H-bridge motor driver chip that supports 32 subdivisions and includes integrated protection circuits for short-circuit, overheating, under-voltage, and cross-conduction conditions. These features help detect faults and quickly cut off the H-bridge to protect both the motor and the driver chip.

The input voltage (VM) ranges from 8.2V to 45V, while the integrated voltage regulator chip has an input range of 8.2V to 28V. The nSLEEP pin must be kept high; otherwise, the chip will enter sleep mode, disabling the H-bridge, stopping the charge pump circuit, disabling the V3P3 output, halting all internal clocks, and ignoring all logic inputs.
