Introducing the Waveshare IMX219-160 8MP IR-CUT Camera, featuring infrared night vision with a wide 162° Field of View (FOV). With a resolution of 800 megapixels, this camera is compatible with the Jetson Nano and can be utilized with Compute Module 3/3+ expansion boards such as the Raspberry Pi Compute Module IO board, Compute Module IO Board Plus, Compute Module POE Board from Waveshare, and the Stereo Pi board.

This camera is equipped with an IR-CUT function, enabling it to switch between day and night modes. By connecting the IO port on the board to GPIO, a high level (3.3V) can be input to turn off the infrared filter, activating night vision mode. Conversely, inputting a low level (GND) turns on the infrared filter, setting it to daytime mode.

It’s important to note that in night vision mode, a reddish effect may appear when taking pictures during the day, which is a normal phenomenon.
