The XL4016 is a robust 180 kHz fixed frequency PWM buck (step-down) DC/DC converter, engineered to handle a 12A load efficiently while maintaining low ripple and superior line and load regulation. Its design minimizes the need for external components, simplifying usage, and features internal frequency compensation along with a fixed-frequency oscillator.

The PWM control circuit offers linear adjustment of the duty ratio from 0 to 100%, ensuring precise control. Additionally, an overcurrent protection function is integrated to enhance safety. In the event of a short, the operation frequency automatically reduces from 180 kHz to 48 kHz. Furthermore, an internal compensation block minimizes the external component count, streamlining the design process.
