A high precision single point laser ranging module with a narrow margin of error and good stability is the YDLIDAR SDM15 High Precision Laser Ranging Module, Supporting ROS & ROS2. It is based on the Time of Flight (TOF) ranging concept and can withstand intense light up to 60KLux. It also has a sampling frequency of up to 1.8kHz and a detection range of up to 15m. Because of its compact size and light weight, the YDLIDAR SDM15 is perfect for a variety of applications, including robot obstacle avoidance, home service robot/sweeping robot navigation obstacle avoidance, and indoor and outdoor UAV obstacle avoidance at fixed heights. Users can refer to tutorials based on Linux, ROS, and STM32.
